This large 40 x 74 fore bay barn is made of hewn oak.
The first and second bays are 20′ wide, the third bay is 14′ wide, and fourth bay is also at 20′ wide.
The front aisle is 17′ deep, then 14′-8″ deep, and last aisle is 8′ wide. Barn cantilever is out some 5′.
The height of the eve walls are roughly 15′ tall. There is a 10″ X 10″ tie that is just under the 7 x 9 rafters plates.
The double tie beams are in bents 2 & 3. There are a number of 8 x 8 wind braces in each bent and eve walls.
Two sided hewn rafters sit on 7 x 7 hewn roof purlin plates.
