Erkin is a native of Kazakhstan
which is where the heart of Yurt structures is found. They are still being
used today by many natives who travel with their livestocks from one grazing
ground to another. Yurts can be used for many
other functions, ideally for summer camps,
hiking or simply a place away from home. |

Covered Bridge |

One of
our finest structure was the Table Rock Covered Bridge built for Lincoln
State Park. Located off Route 123 enterance in Lincoln, RI this
covered bridge is made of laminated Douglas fir with both larch and Douglas
fir tongue and groove roof sheathing board with 100 year old architectural
shingles. Builder and restorer of covered bridges using timbers, stones, or
both, we provide services worldwide. |

Belvedere |
|
These structures are often used as an
open building to command such a view. They are often found on coastal areas,
lakefronts, islands, mountain ranges, and/or in places where special events
are held. Belvederes are usually built of timbers, stones, or both. Belvederes
are found in small size that seat 8-20 people. Belvederes were originally used by weathly ocean front land owners in the Mediteranean region,
particularly Greece, Italy, Spain, and Morocco. Now belvederes are found in golf courses, resorts,
or in one's back yard to offer a serene spot. |

Waterfront Shed |

Our custom designed and built waterfront
shed is for a client who wishes to store his fishing equipment and supplies.
The shed was built of native white oak timbers using old joinery techinques
held together with seasoned oak pegs. This shed was specifically designed to
withstand hurricane force winds by means of sills fastened to cement
footings. This shed also has amples of 3x5 braces to withstand such an event.
The shed also has a smaller lean-to for additional space. The house a small
wood stove for time well spent during winter months. This shed was erected on
the ocean front here in RI, and would work well for all other costal states such
as Maine, Massachusett, Delaware, all the way down to the Carolinas and Florida.

Pergolas |

Pergolas are open
structures that provide shade areas most commonly found in garden centers
and poolsides. Pergolas are primarly used to sheid direct sunlight from living
organisms. The pergola shown in the first two photos was constructed
of white oak timbers for a garden center. The pergola shown in the last two
photos was built of Eastern red cedar timbers. Pergolas can be built of all
sizes and ideally are used in southern states and other tropical regions. All of
our pergolas are constructed of wood speices that do well in outdoor
environments, such as White Oak, Cedar,and Cyprus.

Farmstands are fast becoming big in
demand catering to folks who wish to purchase organic products as well as
flowers, plants, and other outdoors items. As builders of custom farmstands of
your size and needs, we are proud of our finest located at the Farmer's
Daughter site in South Kingston, R.I. The farmstand is the heart and soul of
their
successful business. This farmstand was built of native white oak timbers
harvested off their land and sawn to spec. There is something about using a
New England timber frame structure that gives a welcome feeling
belonging to such place. Using traditional compound joineries, this
wonderful farmstand will last for generations to come.

Sheds |
   
Builder of timber frame sheds,
primarily native white oak timbers. White oak timbers is ideal for
outbuildings due to its resistant to moisture and bugs. This shed is
custom designed and built for client who is using is as a storage area for
thier summer retreat in the Newport, RI area. Garden sheds can be used in the
mountainous areas of Colorado, in deserts of the southwest, on farms ondranches of
Montana, or even on Marthas Vineyard.

Porch Frames |

Porch frames built of native white oak
timbers use traditional joineries held together with season oak pegs. Our
mortice and tenon joints are made of top quality products, lasting centuries to
come. Our timber frame porch can be added to a new or older home. This timber
frame porch was designed and built for an eldery woman who wishes to go
outdoor using her wheelchair. Timber frame porches can be made in many
styles such as a farmer porch, wrap around porch, second floor porch, triple
deck porch, etc. Our porches can be built of post and beam construction
without using any timber frame joinery techinques. |

Stairs and stairway |

Builder of custom stairs and stairways
that would best suit your need in getting from one level to the next. The
stair seen outdoors is made of white oak timbers and held together using
dowel, buiscut, or peggings. These stairs and stairways can be made and
delivered nationwide. |

Custom barn doors |
|
   
Old barn doors are often replaced after
years of being out in the elements. Old barn doors were originally built of
1 1/2 inch or six quarter pine or oak stock that was mounted on hand-forged
,wrought iron hinges on pintels. During the 1850's, doors were upgraded
using the rolling track methods. We often install our new barn doors onto
old pintels and hinges that are found from architecural/salvage collectors.
Our barn doors are often made using fire clinch wrought iron cut nails or
mortice and tenon joineries. We can fabricate new transom windows which
provide more natural interior lighting. We also have access to old transom
windows that can be restored and reused on old barns. |

Cupolas |
|
   
Cupolas are another custom product of
ours. Cupolas are often found on old barns and were first used during the 1850's
which helped to bring in more light, ventliation, along with adding another architectural
feature to the building. Our custom built cupolas are usually of stick built
to minimize weight when added to roof of old barns. We also have several
antique cupolas for sale. Some of our men are qualified as riggers which is
ideal when installing cupolas, weathervanes, and lighting rods. We do cupola
restoration nationwide. |

Antique millstones and
stone troughs |
|
   
Our supply of old used millstones and
water stone troughs make wonderful landscape decorations. Only the water
troughs can still be re-used for watering horses or other livestocks. These
millstones are one hundred plus years old collected from old abandoned
mills. Water troughs are several hundreds years old, straight from England and
other European countries. Some of these troughs are so old that the holes
uses to latch the leather reins to are smooth from constant use. We can ship
these millstones and/or troughs nationwide. |
