This drive thru double corn crib barn is one of last remaining of its kind. Each crib measures roughly 16 x 16. Diamond joints were use when tying the logs together. The original roof has been removed and replaced with 2×4’s construction done in early the 1900’s which helped preserve the frame. This stunning find is one of very few left in the country. This structure has been well sheltered when a newer barn has been built over the original log barn some 100 years ago. As you can see in photos the logs are well preserved from the element. massive log hewn on two sides with end fasten with elongated Diamond notches. Diamond notch are the rarest of all log notches found in US. Incredible structure.
