This barn is made of four bents, three bays set on grade. The bays are roughly 12ft, 13ft, and 15ft wide. The roof system has been raised some 4′ on the rear rafter plate wall but can easily brought back to its original state. The rafters are hewn timbers that sit on roof purlins plates supported by vertical queen posts which allow you have more living space on potential second floor/loft area. The bull beam/swing beam are quite large, 12″ x 22″ found in bent two. Ladder and center post can easily be restored.
