This stunning five bent, four bays is your typical New England center aisle gable entrance bank barn. The eve walls have jowel posts made with flared gunstock. Center aisle is 11′-6″ wide , aisle on left side is 11′ wide, and aisle on right side is nearly 17′ wide. Traditional English tying joint were use in this barn frame. Large principle rafters averaging 8×14 at bottom to 8×8 at top where it plugged into a large five sided ridge beam. This ridge beam has braces on both side of principle rafters. Eve wall posts are 9×12 that flare into 9×14 at top. Rafter plates are 7×10 while most of the tie beams are 10 x 10. Most of the braces are 3 x 5 made of Chestnut.
