Frame Procurement & Consultation

If we do not have a frame that meets your needs, we can search for the perfect frame to meet your desires. Our finest barn scout, Shawn Obreza, discovers many barns in the Ontario area, which are often the finest barns left on the continent. With every frame sold and erected our consultation are often free of charge that provide you endless detail of other resources to ensure a fine finished product.

To answer to the rise of vague building codes for timber frame regulations here in the United States, every frame will include a set of stamped plans by one of our licensed structural engineers. These plans will avoid future costly hassles to our customers in their local building communities nationwide. Our list of architects cover coast to coast, providing full design services in your area. Nearly all of our architects have experience doing timber frame home construction. We have numerous architects with barn to home conversion project experiences, which is critical when using old barn frames. It is important that all foundations conform to the original frames specifications to avoid unnecessary future costs. Many of our frames both new and old are stamped with approval by licensed engineers. We are licensed construction supervisor in MA & RI.

Timber frame construction differs from conventional "stick" framing which is found on many different levels. Antique timbers, barn boards and other components in an antique frame are quite costly to replace. Procurement isn't the only problem with repairing your existing structure as timber frame structures are assembled by mortise and tenon assembly. If 60% or more beams in a barn or house frame is considered, the entire frame may have to be completely rebuilt. On many occasions the frame can be repaired/restored while still standing and remaining intact. If your antique barn or home is damaged by any form of loss, it is important you contact an expert in the field. We do provide formal documentation based on your damaged structurs that are crucial to give to your building inspector, insurance adjustor, and/or realtor.
